![]() ![]() Mystile: Phoenix+Final Attack, Cure+Counter (can't remember if this works), Enemy Skill, fill the rest with maxed Counter Attack ![]() Ultima Weapon: Hades+Added Effect, 4x-Cut, Master Magic, Master Summon, Master Command, Knights of the Round. Round 3: Cloud is seriously, seriously OP with all endgame equipment maxed out. If Ryu can hurt him early on, Cloud's advantage is lost. Round 2: Ultima weapon is only amazing if Cloud has 100% hp. Round 1: No prep time? Assume base Cloud. I don't know Ryu Hayabusa at all, but consider this: Cinematic Cloud has some good feats as well, like basically one-shotting Bahamut in Advent Children (which is immediately after tanking a blast from Bahamut with no ill effect). The Protect Ring starts the battle with Cloud having a full Barrier and MBarrier gauge, meaning that damage taken from physical and magical attacks is halved for the duration of the barriers, which is about 30 seconds (IIRC). How fast is maximum speed? In FF7, maximum speed means that you can enter a new action before the action that you just entered has finished its' animation, just because of how damn quickly the ATB gauge fills.ĮDIT: forgot to explain the Acc. Speaking of stats, one of the things that an "endgame" Cloud could easily have with prep time is maximum Strength, Speed, Vitality, Magic, Spirit and Luck due to Stat Source item grinding. It also gives him a boost to Strength and Magic. The armor Cloud can wear gives him massive Defense and Magic Defense, as well as good miss chances (around 15% for physical and magic, IIRC) and also halves all damage from Fire, Ice, Lightning, Earth, Poison, Gravity, Water, Wind, Holy, Cut, Hit, Punch and Shoot attacks. I haven't seen Ryu do anything like that. This is the technique that makes the final boss fights look like nothing in FF7 - the final showdown with JENOVA is over in one turn. Knights of the Round is a summon that brings 12 (IIRC) ancient heroes to the battlefield, where they strike everything in sight for massive (meaning usually 9999 damage at max level) damage (this includes magical attacks as well as weapon-based attacks). Of course, that's if the fight even happens after his Knights of the Round summon comes out before anyone can move at the beginning of the fight. Oh, and the status effect of Contain is on each hit of the 4-hit combo, so a target has to resist three effects four times each. ![]() ![]() What this would mean is that Cloud can hit multiple times in one attack (2x Cut, which becomes 4x Cut when leveled fully) and anything he hits gets slammed with Confusion, Stop and Petrify (Contain + Added Effect, which binds the status-causing properties to your attack when placed in a weapon). Weapon: Ultima Weapon with Contain + Added Effect, Knights of the Round + Sneak Attack, 2x Cut Setting up for a 1v1 fight playing as Cloud, I would set up as follows: By the end of FF7, the phrase "maxed out with prep" means that Cloud has at his disposal the powers (magic, commands, etc.) of entire generations past and can boost his stats to literal maximums, making him stronger, faster and more durable than anything ever was. Round 3: Cloud absolutely roflstomps Ryu into the ground before the fight begins. Round 2: Nothing really changes, they both just have really cool swords now. any given Ryu, Cloud wins out slightly due to magic/commands/better equipment. Round 1: No specification for equipment/level given. ![]()
